ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವದ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು

   

     The Karnataka Rajyotsava, also known as Karnataka Formation Day, is a significant celebration in the Schools of Karnataka. It marks the day when the state of Karnataka was formed on November 1, 1956. The celebration is a tribute to the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and the Kannada language, which plays a vital role in the state's identity.

    The class II A and VI A began the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration in the Ladyhill English Higher Primary School hall with a soulful prayer song that invoked blessings and set a spiritual tone for the event.

   The celebration commenced with a grand welcome dance with dancers, dressed in colorful traditional attire. The dancers exuded enthusiasm, setting the stage for a vibrant and spirited performance.

   Various cultural dance performances captivated the audience and showcased Karnataka's rich and diverse cultural heritage. Some of the notable dances included Yakshagana, Dollu Kunitha, Kamsale, Veeragase and Kodagu dance. The students also emphasized on the important symbols of Karnataka and its importance. The Kannada Comedy Skit by the students, left a lasting impression on the audience with laughter and entertainment.

  The esteemed Chief Guest, a renowned professor and writer of kannada language Dr. Meenakshi Ramachandra delivered an inspiring speech. The speech emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the Kannada language. The Chief Guest stressed that the Kannada language is not just a means of communication but a vital part of Karnataka's identity, literature and culture.

   The Chief Guest highlighted the need for students to embrace Kannada and encouraged them to become ambassadors of their language, both within Karnataka and globally. She shared anecdotes and songs on how the language had shaped our own journey and how it continues to connect people across the state.

   The Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration was a resounding success, celebrating the state's cultural diversity and the pivotal role of the Kannada language in shaping Karnataka's identity. The event united attendees in a spirit of cultural appreciation and language preservation. It was a day of remembrance, unity, and a call to action for all to cherish and promote Karnataka's unique identity.
