The election for the positions of School Pupil Leader (SPL) and Assistant SPL (Asst. SPL) was held at Ladyhill English Higher Primary School on 16th June 2023. The election process was conducted in a fair and transparent manner, allowing students from classes 4 to 8 to exercise their voting rights.
Two candidates each were in the running for SPL and Asst. SPL position . These candidates exhibited strong leadership qualities and actively participated in school activities.
The election process commenced with the announcement of the candidates and the election date. The candidates were given an opportunity to present their manifestos to the student body, highlighting their goals and plans for the school. This allowed the students to make an informed decision while casting their votes.
On the day of the election, polling booths were set up in a designated area of the school. Each student from classes 4 to 8 was provided with a ballot paper to cast their vote. The voting process was conducted under the supervision of Headmistress Sr. Jennifer Moras A C and staff members to ensure fairness and prevent any malpractices.
After the completion of the voting process, the ballot papers were counted under the supervision of the election committee. The results were then announced to the student body. Riya Poojary, a candidate from Class 8, was elected as the School Pupil Leader. Sarah Lobo, a candidate from class 7,was elected as the Assistant SPL.
The election for the positions of SPL and Asst. SPL at Ladyhill English Higher Primary School was a success. The students actively participated in the democratic process, exercising their right to vote. The elected candidates, Riya Poojary as SPL and Sarah Lobo as Asst. SPL, thanked the headmistress, staff and students and demonstrated their leadership potential and commitment to serving the student body.
