The Merit Day celebration at Ladyhill English Higher Primary School on 21st December 2024 was a grand event held to honor students for their exceptional achievements in academics and extracurricular activities.
The program began with the ceremonial welcome of the Chief Guest, Mrs. Vijetha Pinky D’sa, Advocate and former Civil Court Judge, by the school band. She was accompanied by the Joint Secretary of Ladyhill Institutions Sr. Violet Tauro. Principal Sr. Jenifer Moras AC, Vice Principal Sr. Ivy Moras AC, and PTA Vice President Mrs. Sanrich D’Souza, enhancing the grandeur of the event.
The event continued with a heartfelt prayer song, setting a tone of gratitude and reflection. This was followed by a graceful welcome dance that extended a warm greetings to the audience. A series of vibrant and energetic dance performances then unfolded, showcasing the students' creativity and talent, leaving the audience thoroughly captivated.
The Chief Guest, Mrs. Vijetha Pinky D’sa, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech. She encouraged the students to strive for greater excellence in their endeavors, motivating them to aim high and make the most of their potential.
The highlight of the day was the inauguration of the Diamond Jubilee year. The Chief Guest, accompanied by other dignitaries, unveiled the Diamond Jubilee logo, marking the commencement of a year-long celebration of the school’s rich legacy. The event concluded with the Jubilee song, leaving the audience inspired and brimming with pride. Miss Chrislyn Dsouza and Miss Liyan Fernandes compered the event.
