A thrilling two-day Sports Day event was held at Ladyhill English Higher Primary School on the 18th and 19th of December, transforming the school grounds into a vibrant arena of athletic prowess and school spirit. The event, meticulously organized under the leadership of Sr. Ivy Moras AC, the Vice Principal and Tr. Sapna Anil, the Physical Education teacher, showcased the incredible talent and enthusiasm of the students. The inauguration ceremony featured the opening of the throwball, volleyball, and kho-kho teams.

Day 1 Highlights:

The first day focused on individual events for the younger students of Classes 1 to 4. The 50-meter race and 50-meter hoops relay race were the highlights of the day, featuring enthusiastic participation from the young athletes. Their spirited performances and cheerful demeanor added a joyful and lively atmosphere to the event. Students from Classes 5 to 8 also showcased their skills in throwball, marking the beginning of a series of competitive events.

 

Day 2 Highlights:

The second day saw the thrilling team events take center stage, with students from Classes 5 to 8 competing in volleyball, kho-kho, and other team sports. The matches were intensely competitive, with the throwball and volleyball courts abuzz with excitement as teams vied for victory. The kho-kho ground witnessed swift and strategic moves, captivating the audience. Additionally, Day 2 included a range of competitive events such as badminton and shuttle relay, where the skillful play and coordinated efforts of the students were truly impressive, demonstrating their dedication and teamwork.

 

Emerald Squad's Triumph:

After two days of intense competition, the Emerald Squad emerged victorious, claiming the prestigious championship trophy. Their consistent performance and exemplary teamwork throughout the events were commendable and earned them the well-deserved accolade.

A special mention goes to all the students who participated with great enthusiasm, making the Sports Day a grand success. Their sportsmanship and determination were evident in every event. The teachers also played a crucial role, meticulously organizing and managing various duties to ensure the smooth conduct of the events.
