Ladyhill English Medium Higher Primary School commemorated Martyrs' Day to honor the memory of Mahatma Gandhi, who was assassinated on January 30, 1948. The event, graced by Principal Sr. Jenifer Moras AC and Vice Principal Sr. Ivy Moras AC, emphasized the importance of peace and non-violence in today's world.
The students of Class VI B presented a mesmerizing program, which began with a prayer for peace and a welcome dance. A skit and dance drama vividly depicted the importance of positive and peaceful thoughts, the contributions of peacemakers, and the relevance of peace in modern times. A dance performance showcasing the valor of soldiers as peacemakers was also presented, highlighting their dedication to maintaining peace and protecting the nation.
Sr. Ivy Moras AC in her thoughtful address urged students to let go of hatred, anger, and violence, and also advised them to limit the use of modern gadgets that can disrupt inner peace. She encouraged students to adopt peaceful ways, not only in their school life but also in their daily interactions.Master Gagan Poojary and Miss Prapthi Jaya Prashanth served as the Masters of Ceremony (MCs) for the event.
The program served as an inspiring reminder of Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals and their continued relevance in building a more harmonious and compassionate society. It encouraged students to embrace peace, unity, and non-violence, fostering a sense of responsibility toward creating a better world.
