Ladyhill English Higher Primary School hosted a dynamic Van Mahotsav program on 24th July 2024, where students from class 4A presented an insightful program, with esteemed environmentalist Mr. Jeeth Milan Roche as the Chief Guest. The event commenced with a solemn prayer service, setting the tone for a day dedicated to environmental awareness and conservation.

A spirited welcome dance, performed by enthusiastic students, inaugurated the festivities, followed by a heartfelt welcome address delivered by Yashas. The planting of a sapling by Chief Guest Mr. Jeeth Milan Roche, accompanied by Principal Sr. Jenifer Moras AC and Vice Principal Sr. Ivy Moras AC, symbolised the school's commitment to environmental sustainability.

Mr. Jeeth Milan Roche shared insights on the importance of tree plantation, emphasising the role of every individual in nurturing our planet. He encouraged children to inspire their parents to plant a sapling for a greener future and urged teachers to lead by example through tree planting.

Additionally, Mr. Jeeth Milan Roche addressed the critical issue of waste segregation, stressing the importance of segregating wet waste and dry waste at home and in school. His remarks underscored the need for sustainable practices to preserve our environment for future generations.

The program featured various engaging activities highlighting the significance of the day, including an inspiring environmental song, awareness-raising environmental dances and a thought-provoking skit on the importance of saving trees.

Principal Sr. Jenifer Moras AC concluded the event with a significant speech, urging every student to plant a tree and uphold their responsibility towards nature. Pratyush and Diya adeptly compered the program, ensuring a smooth flow of activities, while Rakshika delivered a gracious vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all involved.

The Van Mahotsav program at Ladyhill English Higher Primary School was not only educational but also empowering, instilling in students a deep sense of environmental stewardship and encouraging them to take proactive steps to preserve our natural heritage.
