With this quote, the Chief Guest of the day Mrs. Poulomi Chattergee Phd Scholar in the dept.of Community medicine, Yenepoya Medical College was extended a floral welcome by Sr Maisie, Headmistress of Ladyhill English Primary School.
Women’s Day was celebrated in the school to spread awareness among the people regarding women’s right and gender equality. The programme began with a prayer service conducted by the teachers. The resourceful educators of the school spoke on the women who have worked wonders in the world. The significance of the day was highlighted through the slogans on women. The role played by the women in the different stages of her life was depicted through a song and dance and it was concluded that she is a beautiful gift from God.
The Guest speaker Mrs. Poulomi Chatterjee addressed the Teachers saying that the existence of woman is the presence of a beautiful life. So the woman should know about their wellness and lead a stress free life. She highlighted on the role of food and nutrition in a woman’s life.
The event concluded with a lucky game as well as a ppt on “Women’s Anthem”. The programme was compered by Tr. Vijetha.
