Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Ladyhill English Higher Primary School by the students of class 6B in the school hall.
The students showcased their talent and exhibited their love for their beloved state Karnataka, by enthusiastically participating in the various items like, prayer service, speech, dance as well as through the PPT presentation on the wealth of Karnataka which included the poets , social reformers, freedom fighters, the different dance forms, rivers etc which added to the knowledge of the students.
The Headmistress in her message gave the importance of the day and stated that every year on November 1st since 1956, Kannada Rajyotsava is celebrated by the Kannadigas as the Karnataka State formation day where all the Kannada language speaking regions of South India were merged to form the Karnataka State.
Along with Karnataka Rajyotsava the students of class 6 also highlighted the the significance of Deepavali . The first, second and third winners of the Karnataka collage making competition were awarded the certificate.
The program ended with the Kannada anthem. The whole program generated a sense of pride in the minds of the students for being part of a state that is so rich and vibrant.
