To mark the importance of fruits and vegetables, the students of Ladyhill Preparatory School celebrated "Fruits and Vegetables Day" on 16th October 2024. This event aimed to educate students about the importance of fruits and vegetables.

Students from Play Home, LKG, and UKG actively participated in discussions on the health benefits of fruits and vegetables. They also spoke about their favourite fruit or vegetable.

Various fruits and vegetables were displayed, and a gallery walk was conducted. This was followed by sensorial activities where students got an opportunity to see, feel, and smell them.

The audience was blown away by the creativity and talent showcased by the tiny tots during the Fruits and Vegetables Day celebration!

Additionally, the parents of these children prepared various dishes using fruits and vegetables. Their beautifully crafted dishes, made with love and care, not only tantalized our taste buds but also shared stories of tradition, culture, and family.

The main aims of engaging our dear parents in this program were to:

  • Share their culinary expertise
  • Showcase vibrant, nutritious creations
  • Spread love, laughter, and community spirit
  • Inspire healthy eating and staying healthy.

The Principal, Sr. Jenifer Moras A.C., was present at the event, and Teacher Lavita Correa from Ladyhill English Higher Primary School was the Chief Guest. The Principal congratulated students and parents for their active participation. She also emphasized the importance of healthy eating and nutritional awareness and applauded the teachers, staff, students, and their parents for their support.

The enthusiasm and participation demonstrated by our students and their parents made this event unforgettable and mesmerizing.

Judges were invited to examine the talents of students and their parents, and the results were announced.
